PASTOR FREDERICK AARON HAYES, SR.
Reverend Frederick A. Hayes, Sr. was born on June 9, 1964 in Chicago Illinois. He is the oldest of nine children of Pastor and Mrs. Lloyd David Hayes. He dedicated his life to Christ at the age of seven and was baptized at the Greater Galilee Baptist Church. He moved to Dayton, Ohio in 1981 and joined the Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church.
As a member of Greater St. John, he was appointed to the office of Deacon and served in that capacity until he accepted his calling to the ministry. He was licensed to preach on January 24, 1988 and ordained to teach the Word of God, preach the gospel and administer all the sacraments and functions of the church on April 21, 1991. For twelve years, Reverend Hayes served as Minister and Administrator over the Youth Church Ministries, which also included young adult men and women. The Youth Ministry under Reverend Hayes' guidance became a strong and vital organ of the church body. After his span as Youth Minister, he was appointed to the office of Ministries Administrator. In this role he provided the spiritual and administrative direction for all ministries of the church body. He remained dedicated to this service until the Lord called him to serve as shepherd of the Freedom Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Dayton, Ohio on June 17, 2001. Freedom Faith's new servant, chosen by God, was installed on November 4, 2001. During Pastor Hayes' tenure at Freedom Faith, the Church has thrived economically, socially but most importantly, spiritually. Under his leadership, over thirty ministries have been implemented and God has increased the territory of Freedom Faith by blessing them with a new church home location. Pastor Hayes is Christ focused and ministry minded. His love for his fellow man and his passion and devotion to the seniors and the youth has been evident in his ministry.
His educational background includes religious studies at Sinclair Community College, Zion Hill Bible School of Theology and Centerville Bible College all of Dayton, Ohio. He also attended the WHW Conference for Expository preaching and teaching. He has earned an Associates Degree in Electromechanical Engineering Technology from Sinclair Community College and is an accomplished technician in the field of Information Technology. He is an active member of the Dayton Baptist Pastors' and Minister's Union of Greater Dayton and the Baptist Minister's Alliance. Pastor Hayes is the CEO of "Biblical Studies Made Easy (BSME)". BSME provides effective teaching methods for an uncomplicated way of preparing to teach and or preach the Word of God, which is an instrumental resource for pastors, ministers and anyone in the teaching ministry.
Pastor Hayes is married to the former Wendy E. Bond, of Chicago, Illinois and is the proud father of three beautiful children, Iesha Renee, Frederick Aaron Jr., and Taylor Marie and a doting grandfather to his two grandchildren. Pastor Hayes is a genuinely devoted servant of God. He is "soul hungry" and his heart's desire is to see all people come to Christ and become productive witnesses for the Lord, Jesus Christ.
