Our Commitment

Freedom Faith MBC strives to ensure that freedomfaithmbc.org is accessible to people with disabilities and meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

We believe that everyone deserves equal access to our ministry, resources, and community — online and in person.

Measures We Have Taken

Semantic HTML — page structure uses proper heading hierarchy (H1–H4), landmark regions, and meaningful element order
Alt text — all meaningful images include descriptive alternative text
Color contrast — text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratio requirements
Keyboard navigation — the site can be navigated using a keyboard alone; all interactive elements are focusable and operable
Responsive design — the site adapts to all screen sizes including mobile devices and tablets
Link context — links are descriptively labeled so their purpose is clear without surrounding context
Form labels — all form inputs include visible labels and descriptive placeholders
Skip navigation — we are actively working to add skip-to-content links
Video captions — we encourage captions on all sermon and event video content posted to YouTube

Known Limitations

We are continually working to improve accessibility across the site. Some known areas we are still improving include:

Some older embedded video content may not have captions — we are working to address this
The Faith Games section contains timed interactions that may be challenging for some users; we are exploring options to disable or extend timing
Some third-party embedded content (YouTube, Givelify, Jit.si) is governed by those platforms' own accessibility standards, which are outside our direct control

In-Person Accessibility

Our church building at 6540 N. Main St., Dayton, OH 45414 is committed to being physically accessible to all. If you have specific accessibility needs for an in-person visit — including wheelchair access, hearing assistance, or other accommodations — please reach out through our contact form or let us know when you pre-register your visit. We will do everything we can to ensure you feel welcome and fully included.

This statement references the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, published by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI). WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the widely accepted standard for web accessibility compliance.
